Discovery Summer Camp
Summer in The City 2011!
The Caedmon School Discovery Camp is a trip-themed program dedicated to discovering the many wonders in and around the five boroughs of New York. Our facility is right in the middle of the greatest city in the world, and we will take full advantage of the many attractions available to entice, engage, and expand the horizons of naturally curious children. From the top of Manhattan’s Empire State Building to the depths of Coney Island’s Aquarium, from the Bronx Zoo to the Queens Hall of Science, our groups will participate in age-appropriate trips and activities, guided by experienced Caedmon teachers and other talented specialists.
Our Philosphy:
The Caedmon Discovery Camp, much like the school, will incorporate the four tenets of our mission, which include Community Building, Montessori, Diversity, and Academic Excellence. One common trait is to provide an engaging environment where the campers own a sense of discovery and exploration that fuels the learning process. Also, the campers work collaboratively to share their experiences, which may be cheering at a baseball game or proving a hypothesis at a science museum.
