The Caedmon Music School is open to students of all ages, including adults, and you do not have to be a Caedmon student/family to enroll.
All levels and genres of instruction are offered, from basic skills to advanced proficiency; and from popular to classical and rock repertoire. Skills such as note reading, music theory, sight reading, and ensemble playing are all gained through our variety of private lessons and classes.

Ukulele Lessons, Ages 5 - 12 30/60 minute lessons available
Each week, students play songs, games, and skill building activities to grow their ukulele skills. They discover chords, strumming patterns, rhythm, fingerpicking, and more while working on their confidence. They play familiar and original games designed specifically for learning ukulele in a fun,
hands-on and unique way. After spending time with chords, continuing students learn TAB notation, followed by music notation as their musicality grows. They are exposed to both familiar songs and original songs created specifically for teaching, and they even write their own songs! Benefits include confidence building, problem solving, creative exploration, fine motor development, and memory building. Adults welcome.
Strum Buddies, Ages 3 - 5 40 minute classes available
Strum Buddies is a group ukulele class that serves as the perfect introduction to playing this beautiful Hawaiian instrument. The class offers a chance for beginner ukulele players to build community and learn the foundations of strumming, chords, and performing. Students sing and dance to familiar songs, learn simple chords, play games, and perform thematic original songs that they create on the spot. They learn how to support one another and work together while making beautiful music. Benefits include enhancing social skills, fine and gross motor development, language development, and igniting a love for music!
Strum Buddies Jr, Ages 2 - 3 40 minute classes available
Strum Buddies Jr involves an introduction to beat and timbre through an exploration of rhythm instruments, new and familiar songs, and exposure to live ukulele. Students gain confidence as they sing and dance together, while growing an appreciation for their new 4-stringed friend. Benefits include turn-taking, fine and gross motor development, language development, and sound and beat recognition and gaining knowledge of new instruments.
