In Third Grade and Fourth Grade, Caedmon students engage with their learning in thoughtful, critical, and creative ways.
In the Third and Fourth Grades, Caedmon students engage deeply with their learning, developing the ability to think both critically and creatively. As their academic skills develop, students begin to apply them in meaningful, real-world contexts, and the curriculum becomes increasingly integrated across disciplines.
Third and Fourth Grade students regularly use the library and digital resources to conduct research, collaborate on extended projects in social studies and writing, and engage in thoughtful literary discussions and debates. Instruction in reading and mathematics is differentiated, with students grouped by skill level to ensure appropriate challenge and support.
In other areas—such as social studies, math congresses, and writing workshops—students work together as a whole class. These settings allow children to learn from one another, drawing on diverse strengths, perspectives, and learning styles. Technology skills are also embedded throughout the curriculum, supporting research, collaboration, and creative expression.
