We continue to diligently monitor information regarding COVID-19, especially as it affects our community at Caedmon and the overall NYC school community.

Isolation Update

An individual (vaccinated or unvaccinated) who tests positive for COVID-19 will follow the protocols as outlined below:

The individual will isolate at home for a minimum of 5 days. Day 0 is the day symptoms began, or the day of the positive test, whichever came first. Individuals may return to school on day 6 provided the following conditions are met:       

* Must be fever-free for a minimum of 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication.

* Symptoms are improving

* A well fitting mask is worn through day 10

A negative test result is no longer required to return to school.

Close Contacts Update

Individuals deemed close contacts may attend school provided they: 

* Remain symptom-free

* Perform rapid antigen testing if any symptoms arise

* Strongly encouraged to wear a mask for a minimum of 5 days after exposure

The Caedmon School is a mask optional school for all students, faculty and staff, except as encouraged above. It is the responsibility of each parent/guardian and individual to report positive cases of COVID-19 to the Health Office at [email protected].
