We continue to diligently monitor information regarding COVID-19, especially as it affects our community at Caedmon and the overall NYC school community.

All individuals (vaccinated and unvaccinated) who test positive for COVID-19 will follow the protocols as outlined below:
The individual will isolate at home for a minimum of 5 days. Day 0 is the day symptoms start, or date of positive test. They may return to school on day 6 ONLY IF the following conditions have been met:
If an individual is unable to provide a negative rapid antigen test after day 5, isolation will continue until they are able to do so, or through day 10, whichever comes first.
Vaccinated and unvaccinated close contacts are not required to quarantine after exposure if they follow our exposure testing protocols, which allow the individual to come to school as long as they:

Any close contact who has had a confirmed case of COVID-19 within the last 90 days, regardless of vaccination status, may be exempt from exposure testing protocols if they meet the following requirements:
The Caedmon School is a mask-optional school for all students, faculty and staff, except as outlined above. It is the responsibility of each parent/guardian and individual to take precautions and report positive cases of COVID-19 to the Health Office at [email protected].
For the 2023-2024 school year, The Caedmon School will no longer require vaccination against the COVID-19 virus. However, in accordance with federal and local health departments, The Caedmon School will continue to encourage all eligible individuals to be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
This policy is subject to change as determined by the various federal, state and city health departments.
